Greece rejected that name, and blocked recognition of this Republic in the UN. The temporary name adopted was FYROM (Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia) and is valid until Greece and FYROM agree to a new name. That name cannot be 'Macedonia', as Macedonia is Greek, and belongs entirely to the Greek History.

This site will expose the fraud attempted by the FYROM Slavs... History cannot be stolen or falsified. At the bottom of this page you will find some basic reasons, why these people have no right at all upon the Macedonian heritage, which belongs entirely to the Greeks. Even their 1st president Gligorov, admitted the truth, as you can see below.

Here are some basic arguements that prove the attempted fraud by the FYROM Slavs

  • The Slavs, inhabitants of this Balkan region, arrived in the area during the 7th century A.D. This is more than 1000 years after the times of Alexander the Great!  The Ancient Macedonians themeselves arrived in the region around 3000 B.C.!

  • The people of FYROM, the fake Macedonians, speak a Slavic language which is Serbian by 95%, enriched with some idiomatic local expressions (5%). In fact a Serb has no trouble to understand this language (which they fakely call "macedonian"), as much as a Texanese would easily understand a New Yorker!

  • The names of the faked Macedonians of FYROM are, indeed, all Slavic names. This is well expected, as these people are Slavs in origin, as we said before. Their current prime minister is called Tsrvenkovski, the former president was called Gligorov, and so on... Anybody would laugh at the idea that Alexander of Philip were Slavs. In that case, Alexander would have been called "Alexandrovski", Philip "Philipov", etc... This would sound totally rediculous... In fact, the Greek language is so unique that has no relation at all with the Slavic languages.

  • The name of Alexander's mother was "Olympia", a typical Greek name meaning "Mighty", pointing at the 12 Greek Olympian Gods.

  • Alexander the Great was the leader of the Great Greek campaign in Asia. After he destroyed 3 times the Persian army he built an Empire extending from Greece to India! Alexander felt a great honor himself to represend all of the Greeks during this campaign, as he proved later with his actions and sayings. For example, after the first great victorious battle near the river Granikos, in Minor Asia, he collected some weapons and other valuable things from killed Persian nobles, and send them back to Athens with an Athenian ship, along with this message:

"From Alexander, son of Philip, and from all the Greeks, except the Lacaedemonians*, [we send you all these as proof of our victory] from Asia, the land of the Barbarians..."

(*) Note: the Lacaedemonians, i.e. the Spartans, did not take part in Alexander's campaign, not recognizing him as leader of all the Greeks. In fact, the Spartans have never been able to recognize anybody else, but themeselves, as the leading Greeks.
